AFTER CARE GUIDE
Most of all...ENJOY!
Most of all...ENJOY!
In the first couple of weeks it is expected that your extensions will shed some strands. This is perfectly normal and will settle down.
You may loose some bonds during the time, this is normal. Between 0-20 per installation is a normal amount. These can be replaced at a maintenance appointment.
Sleep with your hair in a loose plait to reduce knots.
Do not was your hair for at least 48 hours after installation to allow bonds to settle.
If extensions are poorly looked after there will be a charge for re-installation. Please see under REMOVAL AND MAINTAINCE in pricing guide
WASHING AND CONDITIONING
Remove any knots gently
Use a shampoo or conditioner specifically for extensions or use sulphate free to avoid excessive break down of the bonds.
Avoid getting conditioner on any of the bonds, if possible as this will cause slippage and the glue to break down.
Use a reconstructive conditioner or a leave in treatment regularly.
Use a dry shampoo to avoid excess washing. Aim for no more than 3 times a week, 2 if possible.
Avoid the use of hairdryers.
Do not rub or twist the hair when wet as this can cause excess tangling. Pat dry with a towel.
Avoid over brushing, harsh brushing when wet as the bonds are the most delicate when wet and this can cause the extensions to slip or fall out.
If you want to swim, use a swimming cap at all times. The chlorine will damage the extensions.
CARE
Use hair extension brushes only e.g. loop brushes are best. However, tangle teasers are a good alternative.
Hold the extension at the base to reduce tension.
You can still dye your roots, but avoid the bonds. Most hair extensions can be dyed, but do a strand test first. We will not be held responsible for the effects and you do this at your own risk.
You normally lose approx.100 hairs per day, when the extensions are removed this is the hair attached to the bond not healthy hair.
DAMAGE
If your extensions are installed and removed by a qualified technician, and you care for them properly, then you will not experience any damage.
Should you have any problems, ask for advice.
We will not be held responsible for poorly maintained and cared for extensions. Nor in the event you try to remove them yourself.
Extensions last between 3-4 months depending on a clients hair, with the correct care. But please note that we can not be held responsible for shorter holding times.
